TALLOW WOODS

The Tallow Woods Pavilion is a project located on the open field of Nanyang Polytechnic, designed as a tranquil resting spot for students and visitors. The core concept, or what I call the "Magic of the Site," lies in the unique experience it offers allowing users to look up and view the sky without any visual obstruction. This simple yet powerful idea shapes the design, creating a peaceful connection between the built space and the natural environment. The pavilion encourages moments of pause and reflection, with its open structure framing the sky and inviting users to relax, unwind, and appreciate their surroundings.
